3. Anyone who has pictures from the concert and would not mind sharing can be sent to weimer@shaw.ca. As always I never have pictures of the concert because we are too busy with the children. Any would be wonderful to add to our albums.

The hampers were delivered this morning and will be used as needed in the coming weeks.

We will open the doors at Crescent Heights High school at 9:15 am so the show can start at 10:00 am.

The toddlers will perform first then take a seat with their parents…do not leave though because you will miss the rest of the show and a visit from Santa Claus and our super yummy snacks afterwards.

Each family needs to bring a dozen treats on a disposable plate to share during the after party!!

And do not forget your video cameras.

Please bring a sweater or hoodie for your child to keep at school-at times during the day the school can get chilly and it is too bulky to wear a coat in class and try to do lessons.

As the weather has been great to this point we would like to get outside as much as we can…it is important to send your child dressed for the weather..warm coat, hat, mittens and warm footwear.

With winter approaching the coat hooks are full; we need all backpacks to stay at home. They are taking up too much space.

Keep us posted if your child becomes ill-we did have a little flu bug going around.

We are working on progress reports which will be sent home in mid-December. Should you have any concerns or questions we would be happy to sit down with you and discuss your child’s progress.

We will be doing parent surveys in December and would appreciate your feedback. They are almost completed and ready to be sent home.They will go home with your progress report and need to be returned by December 23.

Many are bringing hot lunches daily and not following the schedule. We need to stick to assigned days in order to get lunch served on time and warm. We have had up to 20 lunches per day when only 12 are planned. Please check the chart and stick to your assigned day.

The week of December 19-23 is going to be pajama week. We invite all the children to come to school in their pj’s for the week. It is a relaxing way to head into the holidays.

This time of year can be very difficult for women and children who are working to break free from the devastating effects of family violence. Often, when a woman and her children take those courageous first steps to start a new life, they do so with only the clothing on their backs – many of them must rebuild their lives from the ground up.

Until December 15th we will be collecting gifts to fill our 2 hampers. One will be for the courageous Mom and the other for her children (infant to 12 years of age). We would greatly appreciate your help in filling the hampers to help those who are making a new life for themselves.

There are 2 separate group performances: 19 months to younger 3 year olds and the older 3 year olds, 4′s and 5′s.

The youngest group will go first and then join their parents in the crowd, please come to the front when they are finished;

***Please use your discretion, if you do not think your child will take part in the singing please have them come and sit with you. likewise, if they become overwhelmed and begin to cry please relieve their stress and remove them from stage. In the past children have experienced stage freight.

After the singing each child will receive a gift from Santa;

Please remember your camera and video camera, a dozen treats for the luncheon and to be there by 9:30-9:45am. The social is in the cafeteria beside the theater starting at 11:00 am;

I am so excited to have the opportunity to have this presented in a 90 minute workshop at the school one evening in the near future. All staff are going to participate in it and we encourage all families to join us. By taking part with us we are all getting the same information and can offer consistency between home and school.

It looks like a fantastic approach to dealing positively with child’s behaviors and is recommended by both Parent Link and CHADS (Children’s Health and Development Services) in Medicine Hat. In fact CHADS has replaced 1-2-3 Magic with this course.

Sign up sheets will be placed in the front entrance and in the sign-in book. We do need a head count for the coordinator.
